Born of the aptly named Bois a Terroirs vineyards on the Ile de Re, Fine Island Cognac reveals a world of unexpected aromas, flavours and personality, bestowed by this insular environment. Camus Ile de Re Fine Island Cognac XO (Extra Old) has benefited from long ageing, which develops more body and elegance in the spirit. Although more tannic from the extra years ageing, the wood is not allowed to dominate here, but adds its own signature. Delicious neat, this is also the perfect accompaniment to seafood, served chilled, or, with a little mineral water, a satisfying alternative to an aged malt whisky.
